With the way he's pitched so far Cole Hamels could very easily be 2-1.  The strange thing is, with a record of 1-0, his only win came in a game the Phils very easily could have lost.

Cole gave up five runs on eight hits yesterday against the Astros, he'd only given up two total runs in his previous two starts.  So what was the difference?  The Phillies lousy bullpen actually managed to get the job done yesterday - Francisco Rosario, Antonio Alfonseco and "Flash" Gordon combined for three scoreless innings and the Phils picked up their first "W" at home.  Both the newcomer Rosario and Alfonseco looked good, and while "Flash" was a bit wild and looked like he was going to give it away with walks, he managed to close out the game on a double play ground ball.

With a Nor'easter  whipping it's way through the Philadelphia area, I'm going to assume that today's game against the Astros, scheduled for 1:35, will be rained out.  That's alright with me, it means I can come out of my first regular season weekend where the fightin's didn't lose a series, who know's, with Freddy coming off the DL and the bullpen managing to get through a game without giving up the lead, maybe next weekend we'll even win a series.
