The good news is that Jimmy Rollins hustled his way to second base, the bad news is, that's probably where he's going to stay.

As of 4:15 EST the Phillies have just gone behind the Mets by a score of 6-5 in the eight inning of their first game in New York.  Of  course, much  of what's happened today has to due with the piss poor relief pitching.  But  a lot of what's been happening has been to due with runners left on base.

In Saturday's loss to the Fish, the Phils left 8 runners stranded, in yesterdays loss they left a ridiculous 14 runners on base.  Mark my words the Phillies will lose today to the Mets and they've already left 9 runners on base, so they will most likely reach double digits in that statistic again.

You can't win a game without in knocking some of the guys who get on base.  Your pitchers can't pitch a shutout every game, especially when you've got the Phillies bullpen.  If the Phils don't fix these two major issues( runners LOB and god awful bullpen) they probably will finish third in the East behind the Mets and the Braves(if they're lucky).  One more loss and I'm going to burn my home-made "07 NL Champs t-shirt.  So much for wishful thinking.

Ah, to have the Phils problems.

In back-to-back games earlier this week, the Yanks left 29 and 25 men on base. 14 and 9 is nothing!!!

By the way, we're offering you guys Henn and Proctor for Hamels, you selling?
